We have news about the upcoming school year 2018-2019.
KEY International School is currently in the process of receiving accreditations for both an International and a Romanian line of education. We have successfully passed the first stages for both.
Our desire is to implement an international line, with a curriculum and a philosophy that we are very excited about (more details coming soon ). Receiving this accreditation, which is acknowledged world – wide and very sought after, will make us the first school in Transylvania to ofer this type of global learning in English. It is a matter of days now.
This programme has a unique academic rigour and it emphasizes students’ personal development.
- “Theories in action”,
- “…from the classroom to the community”,
- “…the student becomes a creative thinker, confident communicator, and realistic problem solver who dreams of finding answers to the impossible”,
- “really international mindset”,
- “recognized by the Top Universities in the World, Romanian Universities included”
Those are only few ways to describe it.
What will be different in the next school year?
This programme is different from other curricula because it encourages students of all ages to think critically and challenge assumptions; it is developed independently of government and national systems, incorporating quality practice from research and a global community of schools; encourages students of all ages to consider both local and global contexts and it develops multilingual students. Aims to do more than other curricula by developing inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who are motivated to succeed.
Our students will be given a unique education. They will be encouraged to take part in programmes that can lead them to some of
the highest ranking universities around the world, that can help them become more culturally aware, through the development of a second language and that will enable them to engage with people in an increasingly globalized, rapidly changing world.
Concerning the accreditation for the Romanian line, we applied for an ARACIP (The Romanian Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-University Education) authorization. Our plan is to begin with “Clasa 0” (for 6 years old) in the next academic year and to grow organically in the coming years.
All this and many more to come, starting September 2018!
